Ian Pierpoint founded The Sound Research in 2007 and has since built the company to more than 30 members of staff located in five offices across UK, USA and Canada. With a turnover approaching $10M USD, The Sound is one of the largest independent qualitative agencies in North America. Prior to launching The Sound, Ian was CEO, Synovate YC, Synovate’s global practice with more than 40 members of staff and a turnover approaching $20 million globally. In 2005, Ian won British Columbia’s prestigious 40 Under 40 Award recognizing his business achievements and his teaching role within the masters program at the University of British Columbia.
